Our entirely volunteer run group is dedicated to making a difference in the homeless animal population in Licking County and helping animals in need throughout Ohio.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help animals in need through sheltering, adoption, education, feral spay & neuter, and community outreach.

Little Tig was an owner surrender -- his mama had to go to a nursing home and was unable to care for him. He is definitely shy, but once he warms up he will reward you with throaty purrs,, elevator butt and he really leans into his chin scratches! He is sweet, just needs someone with some patience and a quiet home. He has excellent house manners and always finds his litter box..
Little Tig is fully vetted: neutered, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (rabies, FVRCP & FeLV) and flea free. Won't you give this sweet boy a chance?

Whiskers Animal Rescue is a Granville, Ohio foster based animal rescue organization that is dedicated to reducing the number of homeless animals in our community. We are primarily a cat rescue in Licking County. We rely on the support of volunteers to help us care for the animals in our rescue, and we are always looking for new people to join our team. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the application under the Volunteer tab. Our rescue is home to a variety of adoptable animals. We work hard to ensure that each animal is well-cared for and loved while they are with us. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please visit our website to see our available animals. At Whiskers, we believe that spaying and neutering is an important step in reducing the number of homeless animals in our community.

Adoption Events

We are an adoption partner with both Petco & PetSmart in Heath -- you may visit animals at any time during store hours once you have an application on file! Note that we are a foster based rescue, so not all animals will be in stores.
