Whiskers Animal Rescue is based in Granville, Ohio.
Our entirely volunteer run group is dedicated to making a difference in the homeless animal population in Licking County and helping animals in need throughout Ohio.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help animals in need through sheltering, adoption, education, feral spay & neuter, and community outreach.
Cat cafes charge an admission fee to help cover the cost of caring for the cats — including food, litter, toys, medical care — and to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for both visitors and felines. Your entry fee directly supports the well-being of the cats and the rescue efforts behind the scenes, making it possible for more cats to find loving homes. Our rescue is a non-profit, run entirely by volunteers -- and the Cottage runs in this exact same manner.🐾

Non-Monetary Donations: We are always looking for fosters and volunteers to help at the cottage and stores to care for animals! Check our Volunteers Tab for more information. And we will always accept gently used items like towels, cat furniture, toys and more! These items can be brought to the address above. Cat food, litter and pee pads ALWAYS welcome -- even opened bags can be used for our colony feeders in need! Donations do no go to waste!

We are adoption partners with PetSmart in Heath, and Petco in Heath & Mount Vernon!
At Petsmart and the MV Petco, you can ALWAYS meet available kitties in person, just ask a store associate. If you fall in love, fill out our online application!
To meet a kitty at the Heath Petco, please fill out an application on our website and we will reach out to schedule a meet and greet.
Note that we are a foster based rescue, so most of our babies are in private homes. You may always schedule a visit at Whiskers Catnip Cottage, central Ohio's newest cat cafe to meet a whole crew of adoptable kitties!

Keto
Keto... This boy is our lobby kitty at the Catnip Cottage -- he's first to greet (as long as he's awake) everyone that walks through our door. He likes to do a gentle leg rub and waits for you to scratch his head. Keto is diabetic, the sole reason he has been in care for so long -- he gets an insulin shot twice a day, and takes it like a champ. Doesn't even notice it... He's gorgeous, and a big boy under all that fluff. He does like to play, but not as much as he likes to nap, sprawled on his back. Keto came to us because his owner died -- the kids "inherited" him, and did not want to deal with him and were going to euthanize... So we stepped in to take over his care. He has a $100 adoption fee. This boy has been in care for nearly a year now, it's time for him to find his forever!
